Our contribution is a novel and task-specific hyperparameter recommender system for VAEs used to generate synthetic tabular datasets. Specifically, we selected a small set of hyperparameters to be tuned in order to obtain optimal performance: β, the coefficient of the KL term in the loss, the latent dimension, and the encoder-decoder architectures.
