Abstract
The Cultural Artefacts in Education (CAE) questionnaire is used to determine the educational values of different cultures. In this paper I examine the results for ten countries, specifically focussing on their attitudes towards adaptive hypermedia in an educational setting. These results can inform the authoring process for adaptive systems & content, with Adaptive Hypermedia systems being able to employ stereotype adaptation to deliver content pre-adjusted to a learner’s cultural background.
