·       To the best of our knowledge, although meta-heuristic methods such as Genetic Algorithms are used for the 8-puzzle in the literature, studies for the 15-puzzle do not exist.

·       The use of the ABC algorithm in the solution of this problem is the first in the literature.

·       The study shows that meta-heuristic methods are also successful in solving 15-puzzle.

·       The success of the algorithm in finding the solution is increased by combining the Pattern database, Linear conflict, and Manhattan distance.
